Rebates and support for workplace electric vehicle charging

Workplace charging is the second most important charging location for electric vehicle (EV) drivers. Our workplace charger program offers rebates and support to plan for and install EV charging stations for your employees to use while at work.

Eligibility details

Who can apply:

  • Businesses
  • Non-profits
  • Industry and research associations
  • Public sector organizations like school districts, health authorities, colleges and universities
  • Local, regional and First Nations governments
  • Indigenous organizations

B.C. ministries, crown corporations and home-based businesses are not eligible.

Workplaces must:

  • Be located in B.C. 
  • Have at least 5 employees that work onsite 
  • Be constructed on or before August 31, 2022 
  • Have dedicated parking stalls for employee use only 

Costs incurred before approval are not eligible for reimbursement.

EV charging station rebates

  • Get back 50 percent of eligible costs
  • Indigenous governments, organizations and businesses can get 75 percent of eligible costs back
  • Rebates are capped at $14,000 per workplace
  • Apply for rebates on up to four workplace locations to get back up to $56,000
