Save money at the dealership with point-of-sale rebates. This program offers rebates on medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) in commercial operations.

We’ve refreshed the Go Electric Rebates program

Vehicle buyers can now save money at the dealership with point-of-sale rebates. Watch the video overview and read the information below to learn more. 

Vehicle sellers must be approved to offer rebates to customers. Vehicle manufacturers can submit their vehicles to be on the eligible vehicle list. 

Eligibility details

Who can apply

The vehicle buyer must be a B.C.-based:

  • Business
  • Indigenous organization
  • Local government
  • Non-profit

Vehicle limits

Rebate limits on vehicles are based on organization type:

  • Businesses can get rebates for up to 5 vehicles per year
  • Indigenous organizations, local governments, and non-profits can get rebates for up to 10 vehicles per year

How it works

Vehicle buyer applies online to reserve funds for up to 2 months 

Vehicle buyer chooses an eligible vehicle and orders through an approved seller

Approved seller submits application for vehicle rebate approval*

Vehicle buyer gets the rebate when they pay for the vehicle

Approved seller applies for reimbursement within 45 days of sale

* Funds are reserved for an additional 12 months to allow for delivery

We are adding program funds on planned dates. Intake is ongoing but closes temporarily if we run out of funding before the next release date.

Rebate options and amounts

Medium- and heavy-duty ZEV rebates

  • Rebate amounts are based on vehicle class 
  • Indigenous organizations, local governments, and non-profits get a 20 percent rebate top-up
  • Vehicles that get rebates must operate in B.C. for at least 48 months
  • Leased vehicles with terms of 48 months or longer are eligible for the full rebate amount. Lease terms less than 48 months can get a prorated rebate amount.

Eligible zero-emission vehicles

Eligible vehicle list

Class 2B-8 battery electric, hydrogen fuel cell and plug-in hybrid vehicles may be eligible.

  • Only approved vehicles are eligible for a rebate
  • Vehicles will be added to the list as we approve more
  • Pickup trucks are not eligible

Eligible vehicles must be purchased through an approved seller.


Vehicle manufacturers can submit a request to add their vehicles to the eligible vehicle list.

Become an approved seller

Apply to be an approved seller so you can offer rebates on eligible vehicles to your customers.

Sellers must be located in B.C. and need a Business BCeID to apply.

  1. Read the program guide 
  2. Register for a Business BCeID, if you don’t have one. The Business BCeID verifies your organization so you can apply for a rebate.

Apply online to reserve funds. You can then choose and order eligible vehicles through an approved seller.
